Having a Tim Burton day today ( got totally sidetracked) .

It started with adjusting the amount of corpse bride wigs in stock.

Then I got side tracked ( very easy done ) looked at the website for the new Alice in wonderland film

The film looks amazing wonderful make up, and effects.

Spent far to long looking around the site. Added the release date in the diary March 5th 2010.

Then I went a little mad and ordered lots of Alice related products.

White rabbit masks , make up, tights, hats costumes etc just about anything I could think of including a large rubber pig ( the queen of hearts has one).

I  love my job as it never know what each day will bring.

Star wars Yoda is one of my favorite costumes.

Another snow day

Another snow day

Having a late start today . lots of fresh snow today, its very wet snow and alot more than we had last week. but the good news is schools are open so holly has gone to school today .
Todays tasks are to finish chinese new year on the website and to add the new range of wigs that have arrived  including Dame edna, and some gothic wigs. Might seem daft but i have ordered in lots of edward scissorhand wigs and corpse bride as I sold out last halloween so i wanted to be sure of a good supply this year.

The cold weather as given me a good reason to work at home in the warm and add some new products to teampixie’s website.

Happy New Year From TeamPixie

We would like to wish all our customers a happy new year and to let you know its business as usual.

The snow has caused a few problems, but here at Teampixie we are not going to let a little snow get in the way of getting your parcels out to you.

We are walking to work and walking to the post office. Its keeping us fit and warm.

We have a busy couple of months ahead and looking forward to 2010.

Facepainting

Wanted to blog and tell you all about the wonderful face-painting course i attended.

It was a two day course in london , day one was face painting , day 2 advanced face painting.

We first leant how to apply a base ( no more dipping the sponge in the water bowl) using a water spray to get the paint consistency.

Next we blended with a sponge, an leant how to use the brush  to get the effects we wanted.

then I painted a tiger.

After lunch  I painted a butterfly with glitter.

Day two.

drag blending with a brush or sponge, we practiced  on our arms and then on each other.

once again plenty of glitter.

In the afternoon we did a monster!, it was very difficult but it was good to put to use all the skills we had learnt in the past 2 days.

Chritsmas lights in portishead

Today is the day volunteers put the portishead christmas lights up.

Its a amazing achievement that this wonderful display of lights is all done by the people of portishead. 

The local businesses in portishead are wonderful, making sure the workers get fed and watered though out the day.

Today was very wet and putting up the lights was hard work but worth it.

A big thank you to clarence  house for the pasty and chips, the wonderful ladies in barclays bank for the mince pies and sausage  rolls, mon's wine bar for the biscuits and coffee, and the poacher pub for the wonderful hot coffee.

Tomorrow night is switch on night.
